Tuscaloosa City Schools Superintendent Mike Daria was recently honored for his role in the success of West Alabama's workforce development by encouraging relationships between industry and education.
Gov. Kay Ivey and Alabama Works named Daria as an inaugural Alabama Works Innovator Award winner on Thursday for his work in college and career readiness. The awards were presented during the annual Alabama Works Conference, which was held virtually this year.
Daria's accomplishment was announced in a news release from West Alabama Works.
