APPLICATION PROCESS FOR GRANTS

You must be an educator in the Tuscaloosa City or County School Systems. A grant application can be submitted by teachers, assistant principals, principals, and central office personnel.

Eligibility

Must be an educator in the Tuscaloosa City or County School Systems. A grant application can be submitted by teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, social workers, instructional coaches, assistant principals, and principals.

 

Grant Window

The Grant Window will be open on November 1, 2023 and will close at 12:00 am on November 17, 2023.

 

Grant Details

  • Grants submitted to TEF will require authorization from the current Superintendent of the respective School System (Tuscaloosa City Schools/Tuscaloosa County Schools).

  • TEF will take care of the acquisition of signatures.

  • A Model of Fiscal Responsibility will be required for each grant awarded. Click on the See Grant Rubric button below for more information.

  • Extra points will be awarded for showing collaboration in your grant application.

 

Funds Appropriated

TEF is a growing organization, and we will be limited in grant funding as we mature. We are currently working on a growth model and will be setting limits according to budget.

 

Selection & Criteria

TEF awards grants annually.

 

The application process is completely online (Click the "Submit Grant Application" button below to apply).

 

Selection will be based on free responses submitted by applicants. Applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application following the deadline. Grant awards will be sent directly to the recipient by check to the permanent mailing address noted in the application. Grant reviews will begin after the November window closes and will continue during the month of November.  Awards will be announced on Friday, December 2, 2023.
