Two TCSS Schools Win Awards

Congratulations to Big Sandy Elementary School for being named a PLC Model School.

A Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) School demonstrates a commitment to PLC concepts; implement those concepts for at least three years; presents clear evidence of improved student learning; and, continues to display data each year to meet the criteria of a PLC School at Work.

Congratulations to Holt Elementary School for their Promising Practice in Character Development.

On June 1, Character.org certified 264 Promising Practices in schools and organizations across the country that foster character development in our children and teens. "We are extremely proud to recognize the schools and organizations that have developed and implemented a Promising Practice” said Dr. Arthur Schwartz, President of Character.org. “Each of these programs and initiatives have demonstrated significant impact and strongly align with the principles that help schools and organizations cultivate a culture of character.”

TCS Receives Awards

The Gold Medallion is National School Public Relations Association's top program award, recognizing superior education public relations programs. In 2020, TCS was honored for its ELEVATE Dual Enrollment Scholarship Program.
